Etiquette at the Table

There are those that look at an article like this and ask, “Why?” Easy, this is for the new players. I want to show the players coming into this game what to expect and what is expected of them. So what do you expect when you sit down to your first game of Star Wars: Destiny? Here are a few things to be aware of and some other thing not to do.

Content Creators Corner: Entourage Gaming

A New Beginning

Where there was two now stands one. This new one is stronger and has a different outlook on what their purpose will be. That new creation is http://www.entouragegaming.com/ “Our ultimate goal is to be a spot for ANY Destiny player to come and find content they can enjoy.” Matt says of the new CC. They not only have big plans with their channel but also themselves. “Our core group all plan on going to World’s so there will be plenty of top tier content in preparation for that. Our Birmingham and Nashville local groups both have strong players so we can record games to show other local groups what decks players are building from around the Southeast. The upcoming “Kitchen Table” series will cater to the fun, casual Destiny player who just wants to watch two people playing the game we all love.”

Content Creators Corner: Dice Commando

Go Commando

In what I hope will become a regular column, I talked to Dice Commando. This is a fledgling, in real life (IRL) Content Creator that has been around almost a year. Andrew is the organizer and manager of the channel. On top of the great IRL content that is shown, they have also started The Commando Cast which just posted episode 30. This CC is located in Portland, Oregon. Their Star Wars: Destiny scene has been pretty strong, with “several shops in the area that support the game and have regular events.” Andrew gives credit to the people that have put in the work to see this community increase.

Content Creators Corner: Monks Gaming Battleground

What I feel my mission is here at The Chance Cube is to help people connect with the community. One of the best ways to do that is through those people that spend a lot of time doing content creation. These people put hours into brainstorming, filming, editing, and uploading their work. I am lucky enough to be able to talk to a great one, Monk of Monks Gaming Battleground.

Follow the Meta?

What do I think of the Meta at this time? That is a great question and one I ponder while building decks. Do I want to succumb to the Snoke (WF4) or do I want to try something more outside the box. For me, thinking outside the box is fun. I am in the beginning stages of building an Iden Versio (AG18) deck. I have gone 2-2 with it at my recent FLGS event, so I know there is work to be done. At this event, however, there were quite a few that were outside the box. Continue reading “Follow the Meta?”

My New Padawan

Now that you have faced the trials, you have been granted the ability to take on a padawan. The question you must ask yourself is “how do I teach someone new?” Star Wars: Destiny has changed since its inception. It has evolved over the last year to become a game that has more opportunities to bring in the fringe fans and get them addicted to the fun and excitement only the Star Wars universe can bring. So where do we begin?
