No Lie, Sky-Guy is Pretty Fly

As you have undoubtedly heard, Anakin Skywalker will finally be receiving a proper Blue Hero incarnation in Covert Missions. I was hyped up immediately for this card, but my local guys are skeptical. Is he good, or is he destined to be banished to the binder? It’s hard to know for sure without seeing his support cards, but I believe he will be playable. I’ll be making that argument by discussing his color, health, die, subtype, ability, cost, and available partners. Feel free to disagree, but this is my analysis (and defense) of Sky-Guy in Standard!

Who else remembers the first time they witnessed the horrific power of the tribe of space bears known as Ewoks? I can recall watching our bootleg VHS copy of Return of the Jedi and being amazed at the sheer volume of these fuzzy marauders. While Wicket stole Leia’s heart (and mine) with his adorable innocence, my true love for these creatures grew from their ability to come together as a unit to accomplish both a thriving community and a fearsome offensive.

What a fun live stream! I always enjoy tuning in when Jeremy and the FFG crew publicize Star Wars: Destiny. Watching new cards get spoiled is the most exciting part of the lead up to a new set. There’s a lot to dissect from this stream (Ewoks!), but in this brief spoiler article I’d like to specifically discuss what’s happening for Hero Blue in Spark of Hope. All Jedi Are Traitors to the Galactic Republic (I’m Fairly Confident About This)

Order 66 (SH15) is going to be a plot that people will experiment with when building Spark of Hope decks. There’s a lot to love here. The first thing I noticed about Order 66 is how far plots have come since Legacies – remember Fortify (LG169)? Plots have improved significantly from their initial release. They are now able to influence deck construction in a similar way to characters, which is a credit to the design team.

The End of the Jedi

Star Wars: Destiny and Fantasy Flight Games have dropped a lot on our plates over the last few days. The latest is the article today that contains some great spoilers. At first glance it is awesome to see an iconic piece of lore, like Order 66 (SH15), but could that spell the end of the Jedi? A once fearsome group now relegated to the sidelines because of new cards.
