Han Bots

So, from Spark of Hope I pulled a lot of excellent Legendary cards, including Old Man Han (SH96), R2-D2 (SH56), and C-3PO (SH77). Now I have a family and life outside of playing Destiny, so I’m not full-time geek, and only play at my FLGS every other week. I don’t have all of the cards from all of the sets except Across the Galaxy and Way of the Force. My problem with the deck I based mine on is the use of a lot of legendary cards. But I made do with what I have. I substituted Han Solo’s Blaster (SH108) with DX-2 (SH153) because I have it and it does unblockable damage. I don’t have Chewbacca’s Blaster Rifle (CV102) so instead I used Ordnance Launcher (CV158).

The heart of the deck is getting Rex’s Blaster (WF87) out on R2-D2 and activate him first if you control the battlefield. Most of the time you’ll want to have the battlefield Comm Tower (WF158) for its claim ability of resolve one of your dice and increase its value by 1.

Only once did I lose the roll-off and I lost that to a 4-Lom (SH38) and Zuckuss (SH41) bounty hunter deck. He poured out bounties and went after C-3PO to basically nullify the plot of Fateful Companions (SH111) which allows the after abilities to be used twice if you can spot both R2-D2 and C-3PO without spending a resource.

I did lose another time but I forget what deck that was. I did win two and came in 8th out of 13 based on strength of schedule. I’m trading for a Han’s Blaster so I’ll have one for my next game on this coming Friday night. It’s a fun deck if you’re able to get the cards you need out quickly enough.

Thanks for reading, and until next time…
