Card Staples: Crash Landing (LG 137) – Our Newest 0-Cost Removal

One of the most important aspects of any deck in Star Wars: Destiny is dice removal. Most dice removal cards come with a condition: giving your opponent a choice (e.g. Loth-Cat and Mouse (SR114)), requiring you to have dice in your pool (e.g. Guard (SR103)), forcing you to meet a play restriction (e.g. Defensive Position (AW104)), etc. Three things you should consider when deciding which dice removal cards to include in your deck are its play cost, playable situations, and place in the game.

Many of the best dice removal cards cost 1 resource to play: Electroshock (AW159), The Best Defense (AW75), and Isolation (AW85).  With the upcoming release of Legacies this December, we have another 0-cost removal card that is worth a look — Crash Landing (LG137).

You get Errata, you get Errata, WE ALL GET ERRATA!! Aka so long to the ongoing eCad/ePhasma.

First, a shout out to my homie FN-2199… you got hit with not one but TWO hammers of justice because you were just so good.

Card Dissection: Ciena Ree (EW1)

Empire at War, as anyone can agree, skews pretty heavily toward getting supports and vehicles into play more often, and Ciena Ree (EW1) definitely fits that mold. As an Imperial pilot, she rose to the rank of Captain in the Imperial Navy, and was a veteran of the Galactic Civil War, specifically the battles of Endor and Jakku. How does she fit in the Destiny game? Read on and find out!

Card Dissection: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Master (LG32)

Of all of the Masters of the Force found in our favorite galaxy from a long time ago, far, far away, my favorite will always be Obi-Wan Kenobi. And, despite my overall underwhelmed perception of Episodes I-III, my favorite version of Obi-Wan is Prequel Obi-Wan. Suffice to say, I’m quite excited to see the newly announced Legacies set bringing Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Master (LG32) to the table!

Ongoing eCad Bane/ePhasma Part 1

After posting a poll in our hangout, the winning deck for me to run and do a blog about was none other than Cad Bane/Phasma.

After Sabine (EW40) and Poe (TP25) were first in the polls for a couple of days, I thought I’d need to design one around them, but I was wrong when people then voted for this pairing.

So the plan is to run this deck into the ground until I either am sick of running it, or you the people are tired of hearing me talk about it!

Let’s start at the beginning….

Again.. after each new set it seems like we are always starting out with a fresh new set of cards getting the whole Meta figured out. So far I think there are going to be some FUN decks as well as some competitive ones out there from the days of old that might be able to come back to the top. Let’s go over some of the fun decks that I’ve found so far.
