At The Chance Cube, we are finding ways to get more involved by supporting and raising awareness for Star Wars: Destiny events across the nation. Our first spotlight is on an event being hosted by The Nerd Store, found in Greeley, Colorado. On November 4th, The Nerd Store is holding a Destiny tournament to support a great cause: Extra Life.
What is Extra Life? It is a 24-hour gaming marathon and fundraising platform to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals which happens on November 4th. Extra Life was started back in 2008, and it has raised over $30 million for Children’s Miracle Network.
This is the third year that The Nerd Store has done an event with Extra Life, and they will have gaming from 10am on November 4th through 10am on November 5th. While the Destiny tournament is only going to last for a portion of that time, it is one of the events they are using that day to draw in extra funding. They will be giving half of the tournament entry fees to a Children’s Hospital in Colorado.
