The final day of Star Wars Celebration has come and gone, and it was just as busy, fun, and exciting as the rest. As we bid a fond farewell to this year’s Celebration, let us highlight the final day.
First Stop: Fantasy Flight
It was another early morning, as many fans lined up outside the convention center well before the doors opened at 5:00 am. Today was the first day that my first stop was the exhibit hall for a chance at anything exclusive. I managed to snag a “lighting pass” for a return to the Celebration Exclusive store later in the day, and then headed straight over to Fantasy Flight’s booth.
I had my father with me today, so he took his first steps and learned to play Star Wars: Destiny. It was great to see the demo team teach the game, and something we all need to remind ourselves sometimes is how to share this game with others. I learned a lot from his instructions, which he had been doing all weekend, and look forward to applying what I learned in the future.
Fun-Filled Weekend
The afternoon consisted of “Hamill Himself,” a conversation with Mark Hamill where he told us stories from the set, projects he’s working on, and a load of other things. It was very stream-of-consciousness and interesting. Very humorous, but he did not reveal any details about Episode VIII.
After a quick visit to the Celebration exclusive store, we headed to the Closing Ceremonies, an emotional recap of the weekends events. Nothing was revealed, and the future date and location of Star Wars Celebration was left a mystery. I know I cannot wait until the next Celebration, and many more to follow!
