Destiny Origins: Who is Temmin ‘Snap’ Wexley?

Exclusive Spoiler

Here at The Chance Cube, we were lucky enough to have three exclusive Spirit of Rebellion spoilers this week and today I’ll take a look at the origins of the character card we spoiled. Temmin ‘Snap’ Wexley (SR29) the Recon Specialist is a vital part of the Resistance efforts to combat the tyrannical First Order. An ace pilot, he was tasked with flying an important recon mission to gather data on Starkiller Base. ‘Snap’ is also part of the planning process for the last ditch mission against the dreaded superweapon.

A Family Affair

Resisting tyranny is part of Snap’s DNA. His mother, Norra Wexley, was part of the Rebel Alliance and took part in the Battle of Endor, piloting a Y-wing. Hailing from Akiva in the Outer Rim, he’s always been in the shadow of one regime or another. Akiva was formerly an Empire-controlled planet until it was liberated by the New Republic. At one stage, Snap’s mother teamed up with Wedge Antilles to engage Imperial forces in the planet. As well as interesting family connections, Snap is the owner of a heavily-modified B1 Battle Droid by the name of Mr. Bones. The droid served as protector to the young Wexley, but also had a very sadistic streak, sometimes humming or singing while attacking its enemies.

Recon Specialist

Snap, like his mother Norra before him, is an accomplished pilot who handles his T-70 X-wing, a much improved version of the T-65 X-wing, with aplomb. Snap is renowned for spotting trouble quickly and employing his piloting skills to avoid the trouble. It’s these skills that make Snap the ideal recon pilot. He’s not too sluggish in the combat arena either, being a part of the successful Resistance mission against Starkiller Base. In 9 short months, we could see Snap back in action with Black Squadron when The Last Jedi reaches cinemas.
