Hello everyone, Amanda here producing my first card analysis. This week was an exciting time for spoilers especially with Fantasy Flight Game’s latest Destiny article Military Might. I am here to talk about my favorite card from it, Tactical Mastery (AW74).
Tactical Mastery is a card that at first glance you would say is amazing, Spot a Red character, 1 resource cost, and get two actions. However once you look at it farther you find that you are spending an action to get two actions. After pointing that out you might think, how is this better than Rey’s ability or the Ambush keyword? I am going to explain why. What makes this card better than those two thing is it’s flexibility. After resolution, you can choice any two actions to follow it. With Ambush cards and Rey, your first action is a fixed action, where that is not the case for this card. You can roll dice and resolve them in one turn, you can combo with Ambush cards, or you do an action and then claim the battlefield. Those are only a few options to say the least. This card also shows what the Red goal is, and that would be controlling the battlefield. If you include this card in your deck, it will help you to accomplish that goal by doing more actions sooner. I expect this card to not only see play, but be apart of combos. Keep an eye out for this one, try it out and see if you like it. If not, be prepared to see it.
